Howdy,

My name is Mark Mestman, of RedFeather Handmade Guitars.

Just discovered this forum yesterday, and posted in the Guitar Restoration Projects, with a question about my refretting work possibly harming the collector value of a 1976 Les Paul. Here is the URL to the posting:

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=464

I'm hoping to recieve a reply before long!

Have been making and repairing guitars since 1992 and have only in the past couple of years "gone public," offering my services to the Sacramento area musician community as my full-time occupation. Believe me, I'm very grateful to be able to do my craft full-time; this has been a dream of mine ever since I started making guitars!

Here a few photos of my work; please let me know what you folks think, please do take a look at my other posted question.

Thank you!

Mark

Hi Mark, it's good to have you join us here - sorry for my slow response, it's been a hectic time for me lately, working on a new project so I haven't visited here as much as I should.

You lucky lucky man, being able to make a living doing what you love! I've always thought that being a luthier must be the ideal job... artistic, creative, technical, practical and sociable!

The acoustic you show looks beautiful - I love the grain in the wood on the bookmatched back.

Good luck with your business, and feel free to show us more examples of your work here - preferably in the Guitars section rather than continuing this thread.

All the best
Paul
