Hello all, this is my first post.
I recently acquired a 1975 Hofner 491 acoustic guitar. This guitar is gem, condition wise, and is quite interesting for two reasons. The first is that it is an NOS guitar from 1975. It is near perfect with a small crack in the top's lacquer that is hard to see. The second interesting thing is that this guitar has a screw on the heel of the neck for a neck angle adjustment. I do not know how to use this adjustment. I've read where some Hofners had removable necks where this screw unlatches a hook and the neck comes off and I've heard that some use the adjustment with the strings in tension.
Any help would be appreciated, as I like guitars to be set up well. It's not really my thing as far as playing, however, and it may be more of a collector oddity than anything else.
Thanks in advance.
