Anyone know anything about Gherson guitars?

I've got a Les Paul copy that I've had for around 25 years, but don't know much about them. Italian, I think. Are they still going? It's not the best quality guitar in the world but is considerably better than many modern copies.

I've been doing a bit of searching on Gherson guitars and found the following...

Despite much research on the internet, we were unable to trace the history of the brand. To date, we know that Gherson is an Italian brand whose activity began in the early 70's. The brand belongs to a company created by SNC Menghini Menghini Alfredo, its factory is located near RECATINI CASTELFIDARDO in the province of Marche .

CASTELFIDARDO RECATINI and is the birthplace of the Italian music industry at the time greeting plants EKO, ELKA of manufacturers and accordion. What was the role of Gherson in this context? The company made it to other instruments by other names?

The information provided by some owners Gherson suggests that the activity of the brand was discontinued around 1983. This date is just after the trial won by Gibson against the Japanese about the copies. As of this date, Ibanez, Aria and other Tokai will change the shape of the head of Gibson copies out of their factories. Menghini there has thrown in the towel? Japanese competition was too strong? The mystery remains unsolved ....

This brand name is famous for being the only one (except for Eko) to have resisted the temptation of Asian production during the 1980's. It is famous, as were most during those years, for its copies of popular American models. Its most widespread success was the imitation of the Gibson SG until the comeback of the Jimmy Page-style double neck. Gherson was a brand name of Menghini in Castelfidardo

------
The Gherson guitars were made in Japan for Italy as was other models and names to Italy and other countries that got exported from Japan back to the countries they were made for back from the 50's through he 80's . They are a vintage guitar that is probably worth more to some than others depending on the overall condition , playability and sound/tone and Gherson model and year that you have !!!
Some are vintage junk, some are vintage good to better to higher end and some are all such but rare. They did get better quality made during the 70's and 80's but worth and value I just do not know.
Parts??? Only from other vintage Gherson guitars of the same make and model and year if available in vintage and used gear shops or other both domestic to foreign as well.
Some guitars have prices seen at links for around $400 + .

Gherson is the brand with which Alfred Menghini has produced a series of guitars and electric basses in the 80s. Headquartered in Castelfidardo, the mark Gherson was one of the few in Italy to fight, for a short time, the now expanded market for musical instruments in Asia.
The models of guitars and basses Gherson were mostly imitations of instruments Fender and Gibson, among them replicas of models:
Fender Stratocaster
Fender Telecaster
Gibson Les Paul
Gibson SG
Fender Precision Bass
Fender Jazz Bass
