Hi
Stevie Savage said 'I've had the Hayman since 1985. It has the split p/u's, but just the single ones, not the double arrangement. It's finished in black and is a semi, short-scale, with f-holes.
I've used it on recordings and it has a lovely, sort of 'woody' sound, which sounds fantastic for 60's style music.
The curious thing is, it says 1010 on the pickguard, but I didn't know there was a 1010 bass version. Anyone have any ideas on this?
I'll post up some pics in the next couple of days.'
A while back actually , just spotted question - sorry for tardy reply and it's probably been resolved already but it sounds as though you have a Hayman5050 semi solid with the wrong scratch plate. I have a trashed 5050
that I intend to rebuild at some point - they are allegedly the rarest Hayman.
