What amps do you listen to your girls through?,I've got a practice amp(a little orange 30w solid state),and my gigging/recording rig(marshall jmp1 pre amp,rocktron intellifex,bbe sonic maximiser,and a Marshall power amp into 2 4x12 cabs).
The orange amp has got a nice attack that really brings out the twang of a strat,and the big rig sounds really warm and crunchy up loud!!,well it is an all valve amp!
Just wondering what you guys have,always imagined collectors having tweeds,twins,and boogies for some reason?!

In an ideal world, I would still have the AC30 I used back in the '60s, but now I have a Vox AD15VT and a small 10w amp that is lurking in the garage

I have a Fender Super Champ XD. It's 15w and was fairly inexpensive used. I am satisfied with what I'm getting out of it... for now at least. We do have neighbors so I can't exactly rock as hard as I would like.

Sorry to disappoint you Steve, but I've only got a Vox AC30 in my dreams...

My practice amp is a superb little Roland Micro Cube - tiny, 4 speakers, stereo and with built-in amp modelling, effects and a basic rhythm box. It's difficult to believe it's only 2.5W + 2.5W... it's loud enough for full band practices with drums & bass!

My gigging amp is a Peavy Transtube FX Combo 112. 80W (plenty for me), very robust and reliable... 2 channels (clean & lead) and again built-in effects with remote switching. I bought it intending to use it without external effects, but now have a Boss ME-50 effects pedal and Roland guitar synth, so I just use the Peavy on a very flat, clean setting.

For years I played a 1970's Sound City valve amp, but eventually sold it in favor of the convenience of a modern combo.

Vox Valvetronix AD60VTH and Vox AD212 2 x 12 cabinet. Also, a Laney 100K valve head and custom 4 x 12. Occasionally a Carlsbro Fatboy combo. Bass goes through a Selmer Treble & Bass 50 Mk III and a Laney 1 x 18.

I use a Grainger blues custom would love a marshall bluesbreaker, thinking of buying the class 5 marshall for home use.

I have 97 Fender Strat Plus and it is giving me good sound as well as battery back up.
I am happy with it and not thinking to switch it now.
Its really nice forum regarding the various types of guitars.
I am glad to see all such info at one place.

I'm running a Peavey Valveking 212 that I've been really happy with.

All my girls sings thru a Fender Super sonic 60 (Tubes) head on a Fender Super sonic 4 x 12 when gigging
and thru a Crate V58 (Tubes ) when practicing home.
