 Post subject: UV Reactive 'Pink' 1985 Gibson Explorer??? Anyone familiar?

The serial number on this Explorer Tremolo shows it was built in 1985, but tells nothing of the strange pink color. The paint is also reactive with Ultraviolet light... It is not a true pink, kind of a salmon/pink hybrid and is not consistent.

Was this done as a 'mod' or were some of these produced by Gibson?
