Watchin RO on beeb4 right now. That guitar looks familiar (in black n white) but can't quite name it. Maybe a Gibson?

I think it's a Gibson 335.

Gibson brought out a Roy Orbison tribute model a few years back, but it doesn't look quite like the one pictured (note dot markers, not block). I guess he must have had a number of 335s over the years.

The Gibson ‘Inspired By’ Roy Orbison ES-335 Features:
Maple Top, Back, And Sides
Mahogany Neck With Long Tenon (1959 Rounded Profile)
24 3/4“ Scale-Length
Rosewood Fretboard With 22 Frets
Cream Binding On Top, Back & Neck
Dual ‘57 Classic Humbuckers
Two Volume & Two Tone Controls
3-Way Pickup Switching
Signature Engraved On Truss Rod Cover
Roy Orbison ”Stamp“ On Back Of Headstock
Antiqued Nickel ABR-1 Bridge & TP-6 Tailpiece

Thanks Red Paul. You're right of course. He used that in the black and white night with Elvis Costello et al. He used the other variation in the early days, the image I sent which unfortunately showed the top of the guitar hidden by the wide strap draped over it. So I've attached a link to a clearer picture from youtube video (Danny Boy) showing the four control knobs on the top right of the guitar.
