For Hofner fans, one of the nicest books around is by Gordon Giltrap & Neville Marten, been out of print for a while, but they do appear on e bay every now and then.Image

Verithingeoff,

Coincidentally, this Hofner book seems to have been re-issued, on release at the end of this month:-

Amazon have it for $16.49 (USD) here: http://www.amazon.com/Hofner-Guitar-His ... 83&sr=11-1

Waterstones (UK) have it for £11.99 (GBP) here: http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesw ... ku=6559374

It looks exactly the same as your photo, so I guess it's just a new print run of the same book, there's no mention of any updates. What year is yours??

Book details
Format: Hardback 224 pages
Date of publication: 31/05/2009
Publisher: Hal Leonard Corporation
ISBN: 9781423462743

Synopsis
This book celebrates the glory years of Hofner, the company made famous by the Beatles' bassist Paul McCartney's use of their left-handed 1962 500/1 model. Beautifully illustrated in color and black and white, the volume is packed with detailed information about classic Hofner guitars as well as interviews with Paul McCartney, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore (of Deep Purple), Albert Lee, and others. The famous 'Memorabilia' chapter includes crisp reproductions of pages from the vintage Selmer catalogs (the UK's Hofner distributors and makers of high-quality guitar/bass amps and other instruments through 1993); a guide to dating Hofner guitars; and a wonderfully insightful interview with Christian Benker, the company's former managing director.
