I love seeing the skill of luthiers creating guitars, so was fascinated to see this blog by Doug Kauer Custom instruments, (Sacramento, Northern California), with some great photos and text of the process of creating electric guitars. It must be a real thrill to start of with great hunks of lovely wood and end up with hand-guilt guitars. What a great job!
I was particularly impressed with the hand-made jigs, clamps etc.
I'd never heard of Doug Kauer Guitars before, but having seen the blog would love to find out more. I found this via Doug's Twitter feed, so Doug... if you read this, how about joining us and telling us more about your guitars?
