It's been a while since I've had an update but there has been a ton of progress. I'm getting my camera back tonight so pictures will be up soon but the guitar is assembled and almost ready to go. I had a problem with the new bridge afterall, the strings didn't sit right on the saddles at all because it was the wrong bridge type afterall.. the complaint has already been submitted to the store that told me it was what i needed. But anyways, I had an idea and managed to get the saddles off the pigtail style bridge I got originally and it works like a charm
It's also wired up and everything works so I decided to test it out a little plugged in with just the 2 e strings on and all I can say is wow. The sound out of this thing is just incredible, playing on one string for 5-10 minutes and I'm sold on p-90s.
Hopefully one of these days I'll get around to picking up some strings for it and get it done
I might stick with my favorite ernie ball 9's or maybe 10's to give it a little extra bite
either way it's a keeper and a very, very fine addition on my quest for having a guitar from every generation
50's, 70's, and 2000's down, everything in between to go
I'm thinking 60's - silvertone, aria, etc. or maybe a decently priced hofner-esque guitar in need of a little work
80's - jackson or charvel of course. Possibly a BC rich, a mockingbird or gunslinger methinks.
90's - fender tele or jap. strat
